I bought my Robomower about a year ago, and I decided it was probably long enough to make a comment.
My wife and I moved from our home in a suburban town with half hectare of land. I spent our first summer with our hand mower, but soon decided that it was for the birds. It took hours. All my neighbors were riding mower, but I did not want one of them. It seemed a little suburb 'too stereotypical. Thus, in research, I found the mowerRobomow.
Now I am not an "early adopter" with all means. I do not go for the latest gadgets. But I learned that you Robomower for about ten years now, and have improved since the first models. And the Robomower will cost about the same as a ride-on mower. So after I get a lot of research I decided to take a chance.
Someone else has to say here, a comment that the Robomow comes with little documentation. I really do not agree. The manuals werewell written, and I was surprised how easy and simple set-up was. The party was dull with the perimeter wire. It made me probably three or four hours – but then I have a rather large garden.
Once the wire is placed and set the dock, just load the mower and then – you're done. It works pretty quiet and sounds like an electric weed trimmer (the three blades under the mower seems quite a bit 'as TrimmerLame, really).
One of my neighbors came to see what I had to get the trolling lawn. "My wife and I saw but I do not know what it was," he said. "One day I said to her, I think they cut grass – I do not see him there with the mower, not more.
In terms of cutting quality, I think it works pretty well. Your lawn will look like a golf course, but I'm not so picky. It almost seems as if I cut with the mower gas.Robomow is soft on the front and rear bumpers, so when you run into a tree, is struggling in the opposite direction. Did not seem very hard, and I have not noticed any damage to the bark. If the battery is running mower, it will automatically return to the dock. From time to time, had trouble finding the station, or had difficulty docking with his own, but I usually do alone. Worst-case scenario, you can simply go to manual controlback to the station.
You can run the perimeter wire around a tree to keep the Robomow to beat. Do I have a tree to do as Robomower will continue until one of the roots of the trees and get stranded – to hold and turn the wheels, but gets nowhere. Then I go out and shoot. But generally, if a wheel locks into a chuckhole or something, it will only beep loudly and run the other way.
This is a manualSetting, you can use it as a conventional use electric lawnmower, apparently to small areas that do not fall into one of your zones. Just drag the control panel (the mower around it from one line to 4 feet) and its work, the manual controls as you walk behind the mower. However, this is not very easy to use. You must hold down two buttons simultaneously (a move on the wheels, run a knife) and manipulating the controller direction. My hands cramp tendsin minutes.
If you start with an appropriate grass length, Robomow will do a good job to look after. But it is a difficult time cutting the grass too long. Since the mower is heavy (it's about 80 pounds with battery) which tends to flatten before mowing down a chance to kill him. So, probably do not want to give your lawn mower gas – can be done once in a while.
The literature says can stimulate work in the Robomower, but II would recommend not. The tires can type rubber wet grass and tend to slip. And 'to cut the night (you can use the flashing up, even if you can not see to see the mower) but I'm not really interested. I usually start it on a weekend when I do other things around the house.
Altogether, they cut the grass on all the problems last summer and was a breeze to configure it again this spring.
Robomow operates several areas,But be aware that the model comes with docking station, can only be used for a zone. There is a battery operated perimeter switch that can be moved from area to area, but that is not included here.
Overall, however, this was a good buy for us. If you must buy one and are on the fence that I advise you to go.

Designed for lawns measuring from 12,900 to 17,200 square feet, the Robomow RL1000 is an automatic lawnmower that cuts grass all by itself. The RL1000 mows on its own within a boundary that you outline with a thin wire (included).
